I have been diagnosed with LPR and irritable larynx syndrome brought on by a Bravo probe attached to my esophagus. I have lost my voice and nearly my sanity. I tried the elavil 10 mg one time and it constipated me and made the lump sensation much worse. My ENT says Tramadol and Gabapentin are other possibilities, but im scared to try either of those. What are your symptoms??
My symptoms are a weak voice that gets tired easily, feeling of a lump in my throat, and general pain in my throat. about
3 years ago when I first started having these symptoms the ENT looked at my throat and saw inflammation consistent with reflux. He started me on dexilant which made significant improvement. However, after foolishly continuing to sing (which bothers my throat) I have now reached a point where my ENT has not seen any inflammation, yet my voice is much weaker and my larynx in more pain than before, causing me to think that I may have some form of neuropathy.
