Had endoscopy yesterday and no evidence of esophagitis!

I also *think* my Barrett's esophagus is gone too, there was nothing in this report saying it was still there, and there were no pictures of it. My last 2 endoscopies, it was stated in the report that I had esophagitis and Barrett's, including pictures but not this time, is it possible for it to completely disappear with just nexium and avoiding foods that cause reflux/heartburn??

I did not ask my GI doc about it because I was completely out of it when he came into the room.

I still have a Schatzki Ring but now a small hiatal hernia.

I had trouble swallowing food, pills so that's why I had the procedure done, but found out my esophagus wasn't very strictured this time...and there is scarring so I don't know if that would be Barretts?? That wasn't stated on my report. Anyway, doc thinks the scarring is causing trouble with swallowing, I wonder if there's anyway to decrease it besides dilation??

yes, my husband was with me but he told me my dr. only talked about scarring and he thinks it's desensitizing nerves there, it's the area where food/pills get stuck. I will call tomorrow and ask if the Barrett's is gone.
