After Nissen Stomach Squeezing/Spasms

Hey Bill or Denise or Tony or Laurie or anyone else with a Nissen, do you get those weird spasms in your stomach where it feels like you are either going to reflux or burp but your stomach just squeezes and you can kind of feel your wrap tighten?

I have been getting this a lot lately, but I remember I had it most often in the beginning stages of surgery. My surgeon told me it was just gas but I don't really hear too much about people experiencing this. Just wondering if its normal. It used to hurt when I was in the first few weeks of healing because it would then give me hiccups, but it doesnt hurt so much now as it is kind of annoying and worrysome because I don't know what my stomach is doing. I kind of thought it would have gone away by now, but maybe its normal?

Thanks Tony! I was hoping you would put in your 2 cents. I always associated that feeling with reflux since every time I would burp everything in my stomach would come up with it.
No air is coming up now, so that is my reassurance that I am not refluxing, but it still is a bit uncomfortable.

I think it's definitely just one of the temporary annoyances that come with the procedure. What's good to think about when you jump to associate it with reflux is that it's NOTHING like the reflux you used to have...so it can't possibly be reflux, right? ;)
