Hello, everyone.
I had a Nissen done 21 days ago and have a few concerns that I thought I would get some feedback on. Overall all is well -- basically eating what I want with the exception of soft breads and tough meats. And most importantly, no more burning!
(1) The first, which I assume is normal, is I still have quite a bit of pain right under my rib cage on the left side of my chest/stomach. Coughing or sneezing is very painful, and it is still painful to get up out of bed. It is at the point that when I am up walking around it hurts when my shirt rubs against my skin... not very comfortable. It feels like a huge bruise. Is this normal after 21 days?
(2) I also have pain on both sides (but usually not at the same time) where I assume my kidneys are located. Is this location normal after this procedure? I worry because the pain is very sharp and can take my breath away.
(3) Finally, I have noticed that my stool looked like clay this morning (very, very light colored). I have not taken any meds so it cannot be that -- is this something that others have experienced?
Anyway, thanks in advance -- I very much appreciate any thoughts/comments.
