I had surgery on Dec 17. for a GPEH. My entire stomach, part of small intestine and part of my colon were up in my chest. All seemed to go well. I was on liquids for the first 5 days, then solids. Small bits chewed well. Now I'm getting horrible sulfur burps along with stomach grumbling when I lay on my left side. I wonder if I started eating solids to soon. Doc said to progress as my stomach tolerates. No neausea or vomiting. I've had sulfur burps a couple times before the surgery, but they would last only a day or so. These have lasted 7 -8 days now. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem and is it just part of healing.
Also had a barium swallow the next morning and it took 30 min to clear my stomach.
