It is a detailed article with clinical trials for some of the alternatives. I found accupuncture and melatonin trial particularly interesting.
Anyone here experimented with melatonin??

I think melatonin being a hormone could potentially be worse than PPIs especially taken in the high dose studied. However, I personally take a low dose and don't notice it affecting my gerd.
I have not experimented with acupuncture for gerd although would be skeptical.

I've been having acupuncture for the past year. It definitely helped with nausea and may also have helped with the step down from PPI to Zantac.
Melatonin has been discussed a few times before - I think some people thought 5HT might be safer.
