Has anyone looked into histamine intolerance as a cause of GERD?

Hi,
I've been suffering with GERD since the summer when I had some kind of food poisoning symptoms. Afterwards, the vomiting didn't stop until a month and a half later when the doctor put me on Nexium. Well, I've been on and off it, dealing with throat spasms since then, panic/anxiety (for years), indigestion, burping, bloating, gas, pain, swollen throat (ENT found), sneezing, a lot of congestion, dizziness from congestion, some diverticulum which is apparently too small to be causing symptoms according to the Gastro doc and lump in the throat, difficulty talking after awhile, etc etc etc. A friend of mine recently introduced me to histamine intolerance. After googling it and finding that the symptoms match those of GERD and anxiety, I have been trying the diet for four days. (It's a four week elimination diet). So far, I feel a bit better but not entirely. Has anyone tried this, been tested or found relief with it?


I should add that I'm currently on NExium 2x day (helping but not eliminating) and Dymista nasal spray which helps me to sleep at night, otherwise I'm up all night choking.
