Hi Voice,
You replied to my bloating post yesterday. Being bloated absolutely impacts your breathing. Matter of fact, I have anxiety as you state that you do, and my general MD told me he thinks my bloat and inability to burp is creating my anxiety. He's known me and my stuggles for years.
You know I am suffering right now from a terrible case of bloat - soooooo miserable!!!! What my MD told me is that it impacts your breathing because of all the pressure it pushes up on your diaphram. He said "that would make anyone anxious."
I am going to try the deep breathing suggested in this post. Also, today I am off work for President's day and I am going to get a massage. Hoping it helps me relax enough; therefore, help my digestive system. Mind gut relation is a real thing. If your mind is not relaxed, neither is your gut. Our digestive system is thought of as our "2nd brain." It's amazing to read up on this.
I just hope nothing embarrasing happens while I am laying on the table. I can't burp due to Nissen Fundo, so it eventually has to come out the other end.
I feel bad for you Voice, I know how you are feeling. I purchased treadmill walking off Itunes. I learned because of anxiety, traditional meditation is just not a fit, but the walking meditation is a fit. It's getting easier and easier. I bought all 3. I like the body connecting one (forget what it is called). Any way, that may help you in the long run?? Also, probably goes without saying, but no carbonation or sugar alcohols found in low carb processed foods; energy bars etc. Not sure why my bloat is so relentless, but I'm trying what I can. Good luck to you! I wish you well
