Hi don't know if you have mentioned it but have you talked to your GI/ENT/GP about the possibility of LRN (overly sensitive larynx)?
Some patients with LPR-like symptoms turned out to have nerve problems and got a lot better with neuro-medicines like Evavil, Neurotin etc. Let us know !
Truth be told, my Mirtazapine did reduce some symptoms, but it didn't eliminate them. Mirtazapine has some anti-acid properties though, according to my pharmacist, so I made sure to stop it before taking the Peptest samples.

Daxter -- I feel so sad about your symptoms.
I'm trying to recall some information on this forum about the negative Peptest results during the worst of your symptoms when you think they would surely be positive.
Just Passing Through had posted information about this very same thing after he had personal contact with the president/doctor of that company. I can't recall the details but feel it would be helpful to you to email JPT about this for some understanding. I may have faulty memory but we found it helpful in our 'negative' situation.
Also you can email the company and ask them about negative results while having bad symptoms.
I miss JPT and hope I didn't goof on my recall of his information. What a big help he was and is.
EDIT:
I've removed JPT's email address, as posting it here in an open forum can lead to him being spammed by random lurkers/non-members. If anyone wants to contact JPT, they can email me (dencha) by clicking on the little email icon below my name on any post I've written. If a person emails me, I will forward that email to JPT, and he can respond directly to the person via email as well.
I just contacted the company behind Peptest; apparently it is possible to have symptoms similar to LPR, but not to have reflux. I know I have no allergies, so it could be the pain is a result of me clearing my throat all the time, or a side effect of my Mirtazapine. The person said stress could be causing my reflux, and he also said that my one, low-positive result last year could have been entirely due to chance, especially given that I've had worse symptoms with no detectable pepsin. What disturbs me is that my symptoms continue to worsen, even after drinking water.
I keep trying to access the old "LINX club" posts to read up on JPTs experience, but they're gone. I guess all I can do is hope my 24 hour pH probe is clear too. If it is, I'll be living proof of anxiety being behind my symptoms. If not, I'll be living proof that Peptest isn't as reliable as the world thinks.
