Can GERD cause CHEST TIGHTNESS/SHORTNESS OF BREATH? Please give me advice.

Short and sweet, as the title asks, can acid reflux cause chest tightness and shortness of breath?

I have panic disorder and when I get bouts of chest tightness/shortness of breath it sends me into panic/high anxiety mode but I notice that a few minutes after feeling the chest tightness and shortness of breath I will sometimes burp of acid to the back of my throat.

The last time the doctor checked my heart and lungs with a stethoscope was a few months ago and he was convinced that there was nothing wrong with either of them. Can GERD be causing my chest tightness and shortness of breath which THEN cause panic attacks?

Sorry forgot to mention the Pulmonologist will probably perform some kind of a breathing test .
