Hi all, it's nice to come across this forum. Sorry my post may be answered somewhere else, but thought of posting mt questions anyway.
I have been diagnosed with GERD about 10 yrs ago and have been taking Prilosec 20mg daily, everyday since diagnosis. I have had multiple EDG's - the last one being in Aug 2012. The EGD's show minor information of the esophagus. But according to my GI, nothing to worry about.
In Dec 2013, I had sudden chest and back pain and went to the ER. The obvious diagnosis was for heart related conditions, and so all the possible cardiac test were done. Fortunately, I was given a clean chit as far as my heart goes saving my pain was possibly something muscular or GI related. So the next step was investigating the Esophagus and Stomach...given the close proximity of the heart and the esophagus, my GI recommended I follow up with another EGD. I have that procedure scheduled next week...However, since the last 2 weeks or so my symptoms have changed to include constant belching and feeling of something stuck in my throat. Is this just anxiety or could there possibly be a tumor or something serious. I also saw my ENT a few days ago and I do have post nasal drip and cobblestone appearance behind my throat.
Would welcome comments and suggestions on what this could possibly be.
