Well i think I may have found the culprit, cucumber! I had a sandwich with salad ham and cucumber (no butter or mayo) which really set it off, id been having the sandwiches all week without problem minus the cucumber.
After a little Google search it turns out Cucumber is a food to avoid for gastritis, up there with raw onion and pepper. Who'd have thought it!?
Im going to try a liquorice supplement and cabbage juice, apparently they are great natural remedies for protecting the stomach.
