Just Had Nissen Fundoplication Female Age 31 - 1 week ago. Live Blog

I am posting here so that my blog about my Hiatal Hernia Repair surgery for my SEVERE GERD might help someone thinking about getting the surgery. I had Nissen Fundoplication. Although doctors seem to discourage it, I have learned that it is a fairly common procedure. Whether or not is successful depends on the individual as well as the surgeon. Make sure you check out reviews and credentials on your surgeon for the specific procedure you are having. Please view my blog for before and after photos. Thank you for sharing this! I've been struggling a lot with the decision to move forward with surgery. I'll be meeting my surgeon later in May for my first consult. Every story I read here helps me understand my options and weigh the decision better! I appreciate it!
