Not sure if you still read this post, any update from your diagnosis? Hope there were no issue.
Thanks.

Hi Sarah I mx also a new member on here and you will no doubt find it very reassuring that we all worry about
the same things-I now actually feel really lucky as reading what others are going through and have suffered -makes my misery ( and a God it is bloody miserable isn't it??) seem pretty minor. Like you I have been suffering for about
4 weeks after a stressful time before I went on holiday ( I'm pretty sure) triggered the worst and most prolonged stomach/oesophageal upset I've ever had. I have been on a very low dose (10mg) of PPI for seven wonderful symptom free years when I could eat what I liked and drink plenty(!) of red wine. I'm now in mourning as I ( no doubt like you and other sufferers on here) feel like those heady days will never return-please God I'm wrong. Like you I've been making mysel ill with worry about
the big C and I have lost some weight- so you can imagine - no doubt you will too- anxiety and the symptoms you have will inevitably do that.
Worrying makes it worse- it's a horrible and lonely vicious circle which you need to break.
I'm in UK so have same sort of healthcare system as you-surely though you could ( and should!) change your GP?
Any way you are not alone and at least you are brave enough to have a scope- I'm not!
Take care and try not to worry x
