Hi I am six weeks after Nissen and doing really well, however, I seem to be experiencing palpitations. Is this normal I don't see my surgeon till 2nd June.
I thought it might be to do with drinking cold water, so have tried a warm drink. Still there.

Did you ever get them before? I get them from even breathing too deep, so it doesn't surprise me to get them after major surgery in that vicinity. The swelling could be stimulating the nerves and causing it.
I wouldn't worry about
it but mention it to the surgeon next time you see them. I know how annoying and anxious they can make you feel, when I first started getting them I thought it was only a matter of time before I had a heart attack but years later I'm still here and barely give them a thought now.

Thanks Andy,
Never really had them before, the night before surgery I sort of had them, but didn't take any notice. I think you are right just tell the surgeon, it is more like flutterings, perhaps it's wind!!!

That is it exactly, dont understand what is causing this, sorry Keith. I dont think it is anything to really worry about
, but it feels so odd.
