My Nissen Fundoplication Surgery ( excessive burping)

In a 25 yo male in singapore.

Well i have been having a moderate sized hiatus hernia for 3 years now and it hasnt really bothered me if i took my nexium 40 mg pills, but suddenly 2 weeks ago i had this sudden attack of breathlessness or rather a shortness of breath which would get relieved quickly if i burped.

I went to my local doctor did all the blood tests, chest x-rays and all other tests but the burping and breathlesness wouldnt go away, with suggestion from my specialist doctor who suggested me to do this surgery i did it on 19/05/14 waking up expecting the burping to go away but infact i have been burping the same amoujt although i read this wrap was supposed to make it difficult to burp, im still having the same excessive burping problems and breathlesness when i have a lot of gas i wonder if sone people could provide me with some encouragement bcos now im thinking i did this surgery in vain :( and suffering with all the diet requirements

Yes he was a very experienced doctor one of the best in the country and had loads of experience in such operations and was infact suggested by a family member
