I love my morning coffee. There are brands with less acid. I use 1/4 scoop regular with 2 scoops decaf, cheap store brand. Then I sit and wait for my pain pills to kick in.
After meds have had a chance, I put a short capful of generic miralax and a tsp of generic Benefiber in my second cup. This goes with my morning oatmeal. Both these meds only bring water to the intestines and are not absorbed. They are both clear. Benefiber is completely tasteless, but I can taste Miralax. Coffee covers up the taste very well. They can both go in tea or even water or soup or any other liquid.
I'm on a couple of pain meds that are constipating and have had way too many gut surgeries, so my intestines are awfully slow.
What I don't use, unless it's an emergency, is strong laxatives. Your body can become dependent on them.
I don't like psyllium or other fibers that are digested by the gut bacteria to make gas. You can get used to them, but they don't go with my coffee.
Some people swear by grape juice or eating grapes. They work for me, but I only tolerate a small amount with my sulfite sensitivity.
