I had the same problems. I could not do water. I lived on jello and broth for a while. but plain water just did not work. For some reason, coffee went down ok. I could never figure any rhyme or reason to it. Bread no problem. oatmeal was a no go. it was just weird how some foods of the same consistencies worked and others did not. You will just have to figure out what works. Sorry that there is no simple answer. And even now, after 10 months, cold water will not go down easily.
I love this forum. I had my wrap 13 months ago and have had a lot of complications since, and have paid for private consultations with "expert" surgeons.
Every "expert" has looked at me like I'm inventing symptoms when I have told them I simply cannot drink any quantity of water since my wrap. I used to drink about
3 litres a day, now I drink way less than 1 - and I only manage this making a conscious effort to have lots of little sips throughout the day.
Coffee and tea go down better (but I find myself drinking lots of small cups, not large mugs), but after a mouthful or two of water I feel like I used to do after I drank a couple of pints after a run - bloated. Very cold water seems to go down a bit better than cool water for some reason.
All the best everyone.
