Esophagogastroduodenoscopy procedure completed..now what?

I just had my scope done and he sent four pictures back and said all is normal. The last scope I had a few years ago showed a small HH but nothing on this one. How is that possible?
I have been living on three zantac 150's a day and sometimes need a forth one but on the day of my scope, I did not have any symptoms at all. He has said a 24 hr ph + motility needs to be done. I have been sitting here all day wondering how everything came back normal when I am in heartburn pain most days. even today the day after..No what?

I have heard of people going for endoscopy and not finding a hh even though there was one there previously, just wonder if it's a sliding one, that the endoscope pushes it down and it isn't detected as easily. When I had my endoscopy all they could see was my hiatus hernia, but in a way that's a good thing, there's no damage to your esophagus - and if you are still having manometry and 24hr ph test - this proves they still have concerns about your health. The manometry will show if your LES is working properly - and that doesn't show on the endoscopy, and sometimes they can see the reflux problem as there is damage, but again the ph test will give them a clearer picture of what's going on. It's better to find out that there is no damage to the esophagus - and proves that what you are going now is preventing this, but it doesn't stop you from having the discomfort!

Its hard to believe that the acid is not doing any damage. my voice goes hoarse every day and I get a constant cough that has a gas like feeling with it. (I do not know how else to explain that feeling). The doctors office called today and I do in for the 24hr test and motility first part of may. They told me I have to be off my meds for ten days prior to the test. I told them they might as well put me in the hospital now. How will I make 10 days without meds...I am glad to hear it is ok if the endo came back normal..That was really making me wonder if the doc was right and it is all in my head
