What kinds of foods do you eat? The thing about GERD is that, you end up having to change what you eat and how you eat and when you eat to stop the pain. Trust me it takes a lot of practice and just when I think I have it figured out -- something unexpectedly flares it up.
Also make sure you do not eat anything 2-3 hours before bed. This is very important! Eat 5 or 6 small meals in the day instead of 3 big ones. Avoid chocolate, fried foods, processed foods, fruits that are too citrusy, tomatoes and anything else that might trigger pain for you.
Food journal is highly recommended.
