Fired Gastro Doc this monring

Well after calling my gastro doctor for over a week now about changing my medication I haven't heard back. I drove down to his office and dropped off a letter explaining my dissatisfaction with his office and requesting all my records. There have been nothing but lack of communication and a disregard to my symptoms. I have set up an appointment with a new gastro doctor in Manhattan and she is highly regarded. I pray that this is the start of getting better for me and that this nightmare will come to an end.

My appt is September 4th. My Gastro dr still hasn't reached out to me about giving me records and I called on two days ago about it, dropped the letter off yesterday and called again this morning. I really feel like making a complaint to the medical board about this office. I think the secretary there dislikes me because when I first tried to set up an appointment I kept leaving messages for about a month and no one called me then one day I said I don't want to leave anymore messages with that woman there she doesn't return phone calls and it happened to be her! Ever since then I think she ignores all my calls I don't even know if she has told the Dr I been calling.

You could also ask the new dr. office to fax you a release of information consent form.If you fill it out and fax it back to the new doctor with the name and number of the old office, they can request your records.Sometimes you get faster results if the records are requested by a doctor. Sorry you have to deal with this in addition to feeling terrible. Good Luck with the new Doctor!
