Nissen plus 2 revisions, recurring 8cm hiatal hernia, severe erosive gastritis.....

Looking at a possible 3RD revision of my Nissen and a repair of hiatal hernia now measuring 7-8cm.....anyone else with this extensive history???

Also have asthma, stage2 COPD, hypothyroid, fibromyalgia, sjogrens, chronic sinus disease......
Appt with surgeon today turned into a referral to another surgeon as my case is too complex.

Sorry to read you are having so many problems. Have they repaired the hernia before??? Did they use mesh to repair it??

Feel for ya I really do.Ive had three fundoplications . Not easy .

So sorry its not working well for you. How come the hernia keeps coming back? Is the gap in your diaphragm just too large?

Have you tried any diaphragm strengthening exercises to maybe close the gap a bit?
