Hi Everyone,
I had my capsule placed on Friday morning for my Ph Bravo study, so I'm currently on day 4. I feel like my pain is getting worse! Before I just had pain when I would eat, now I feel like I have constant chest pain. I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this and also when should I expect it to fall off? Thanks!

We are waiting to schedule this test for my son. I was told 4 days, but I have seen several posts where people said the capsule stayed almost 7..I think most people seem to have it 4-5 days. I hope you feel better...and I hope my son doesn't have as much discomfort..he really doesn't tolerate pain that well. They told me he wouldn't really feel anything except a little discomfort like a small lump in his throat.

Nellie some people are more sensitive than others in their esophagus so it seems to depend.
Lisa, it could take a couple of weeks for the pain to go as once the thing falls off your esophagus still needs to heal where it was attached. Try taking some mild pain killers for the time being

Andy1986,
Unfortunately, he has Hypersensitive esophagus as well as LPR, so I'm not too optimistic.
Momof3beauties,I hope you feel better today.

I had mine placed last wednesday, the 7th, and it finally fell off completely on the 13th. Although my pain eased up as time went on :/ Hope it's over for you soon. I think after a week you can call your doctor to ask about
it. Sometimes they do have to remove it endoscopically if it doesn't detach.

Thanks for the replies
it finally feel off on Tuesday and by Wednesday I felt nothing.
I too have a hypersensitive esophagus and I was so worried about
taking this test, but once it fell off I was pain free. Now on to dealing with my results!
