The only reason I asked was because I've picked up some virus + its hayfever season YAY so my throat has picked up that same awful tickle, it makes trying not to cough so hard doesn't it? But I've been taking a low dose of Phenagran, I don't like taking antihistamines too much because I've had sinus problems because of it in the past, but I've been ok with Phenagran.
Hopefully the allergy shots will help things to improve. I totally get what you mean about the coughing fit, sometimes I wake up and my throat is feeling better then a coughing fit starts and its back in full force.
I'm feeling very sorry for myself at the moment, this virus plus my normal LPR symptoms have got me feeling very miserable so I will be very glad once this passes. I'm trialling Carafate as a last ditch option, but I'm also seeing a surgeon, little bit apprehensive about that because my options for surgery are super narrow, we don't have TIF or LINX here yet. Seeing your recovery, and what has been helped by surgery does give me hope though, its so hard when the symptoms are majority above the neck, did you find you there was always just that little bit of doubt thinking maybe this isn't from the reflux maybe its something else? Because I think that all the time probably more so now that I'm looking at surgery, despite now also having the ENT assure me it is from acid damage.
