I am still trying to work out whether to have the wrap or not. I am on a waiting list for the bravo PH study but I still have to think about
it before. I have a hiatus hernia but it is only small and no damage to my oesophagus or anything like that.
I kind of burp a lot and get a feeling of something hot in my throat but I guess that could just be air. I describe it as an empty burp because it’s like it hasn’t quite finished. I don’t often burp fully. I then get a glowing feeling in my stomach but not heartburn. The glowing/burning feeling I get is not where classic heartburn is. It is under my right rib and in the centre but below the breast bone. But I do get it behind my left breast so maybe it is heartburn? It just isn’t a ‘rising burning’ like they describe. It is just a constant unsettled burning feeling. More like people say with gastritis but I don’t have that. When this starts it goes on for ages. I can take an antacid or gaviscon but it still continues just with the taste of those.
I do get sore throats as well. My upper abdomen feels bloated and full of air and I feel I can’t release it (it is worse when I am constipated and therefore bloated in my lower abdomen as well).I get trapped gas a lot as well. I have IBS and believe I just have a very sensitive stomach. I can eat something or worry myself into having a really bad churning stomach and I know that won’t get better with having the wrap.
I know the PH study will show if I do have acid reflux or not but I wondered if anyone else’s was similar to my descript
ion above? Is that reflux?

I get exactly the same thing; last 2-3 weeks. driving me crazy! where do you get the PH test? I just got a bunch of tests done yesterday at a lab...thyroid, etc., but don't know if the PH was included.

The ph test had to be done by a gastroenterologist. It's not a blood test like the others. I wish I knew if it was reflux or not. Have you been diagnosed?

Jennielouises:
Have you had any tests run on your gallbladder?

Yeah I had an ultrasound and a CT scan back in 2010. Everything looked fine
