Thank you for checking in. The area within the Barrett's had a nodule and was very irritated. The GI did an EMR endoscopic mucosal resection. He verified the wrap was intact and showed me photos. I have been experiencing dysphagia (only in the evening) for the past year with gastritis.
I gained 10 pounds, ate chocolate, and drank a cup of coffee. I am assuming those items were the culprits. Also, experienced bile reflux. I stayed on my PPI's and carafate throughout the 2 years and prior to the surgery.
I am thankful for this forum. I got off my butt and decided to stop delaying this EGD and not assume a false sense of security. Thank you Healing Well!
