Pepsin test positive, now what?

Got my pepsin test back, 2 samples were low, and 1 extremely high. Confirming my suspicion for LPR. My throat seems a little better these days but all of the sudden I have heart burn! Which is so weird because I've never really had heart burn and am already on twice a day prontonix for the past 1.5 months. So why now?! Also I just finished a 2 week antibiotic course for H pylori, wondering if that has to do with my new symptoms. My esophagus feels tight and I want to burp a lot. If I'm already on a max dose of proton pump inhibitor, why is my esophagus giving me trouble and not healing? Been kind of strict with my diet. Getting a barium swallow study Friday, really scared. I'm only 32 😭

Oh ya....when a new ENT looked at my throat this Wednesday with scope he said the reflux looked minimal because my larynx wasn't too red or inflammed. Even though I have a ton of Pepsin show up on the test and new onset esophageal symptoms- not sure where to turn next

Is absolutely normal to have some reflux. Problem is when reflux is too ftrequent. Peptest is not very accurate. To be sure that you have abnormal reflux is to have pH metry. If you have LPR, it is treated by PPI. Take care

Why do you say the pepsin is in accurate? Just curious :)
Ya I tried convincing the GI to do the ph impedance test with manometery but they want me to do the barium swallow first. Uhh....now that my throat issues calmed down a bit I feel like my esophagus is having Spasms causing me want to burp a lot. Does Anyone have this issue? Just feeling pressure in there...
