I am becoming more aware of some symptoms I have been experiencing the last few weeks. I had the nissen two years ago and recently experienced a recurrence of what i thought was gastritis, I had symptoms of heartburn which have subsided slightly since taking nexium 40mg twice daily. However, last week i began experiencing lump in throat feeling, sour taste, burning and have been put on domperidone 10mg three times daily. I have noticed when taking these my symptoms are reduced and the few times I have forgot the food or drink has spat back up. I spoke to my doctor and they believe my wrap may be too tight as since the op I have had dysphagia that has caused me to feel like im choking at times and requires a heck of a lot of water and chewing to get food down. My chest/upper tummy feels tender to touch near where my stitches are as well. I am being referred back to upper GI surgeon I had if the symptoms dont improve in another two weeks to see what the cause is.
I am starting to feel very alone with these symptoms as I haven't found much similar on this forum other than the scary stories! I fear my wrap has undone but I don't feel i will get relief from this anxiety unless its investigated. what happens if the wrap is too tight??
has anyone had any of these symptoms post op?
