Hi, Marty!
Me, too... a pretty rotten night, the pain in my neck {and I'm not talking about my wife, honest} returned with a vengeance yesterday evening. 400gm ibruprofen this morning seems to have eased it off, or maybe it's just that I've been a bit busier today.... Other than that, though, I'm still doing fairly well, I think. Below neck level I remain much more comfortable than I'd ever have thought possible.
Looks like we've both tried running before walking, but - lessons learned - you're right, follow the advice. Back to liquids only for me, with the exception of extremely soggy Weetabix or oats. I'm walking well, too, I probably managed over a mile on Saturday, just around one of the local towns, though the last bit was at a fairly slow pace. Deep breaths are much easier as well today, and - as far as I can tell, 6 days on from my operation, my throat is much less sore and I haven't so far spotted even a twinge of reflux. By the way I don't know what your protocol was, but mine was come off the PPIs immediately, so I'd probably have noticed acid seeing back up my oesophagus by now. Keep yer chin up!
