I am obviously no doctor, but I have had all these pains and symptoms from GERD and gastritis. Sometimes the pain is so bad that I start to sweat, get headaches and tingling in my body. 2 weeks is still early for things to settle down. make sure you are taking the omeprazole properly, first thing in the morning and eat 30 minutes later with a meal with protein. Then it works best.
Also it might be worth keeping a food and symptom diary as sometimes even innocent foods can be triggers. If my stomach is sensitive and I eat some cucumber for example the pain is unbelievable. If you feel fine for a few days then its obviously possible for you to extend that, I used to find the same thing and in the end it was some of the foods I was eating that kept triggering the pain, like onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, tea, coffee, oranges etc.
