Lap nissen over 9 yrs ago....... Any suggestions????

So the problem is physically my brothers. He had the surgery about nine years ago. Hasn't been able to work since, and is on pain meds. This happened to him in his thirties. It's tough watching him FEEL useless. Because he is amazing.
There is no evidence that the surgery was even done, except for the scars. Everything inside is 100x worse.
The surgeon that did it, was great, until the surgery was done.

Anyone have this happen?
Anyone have any ideas to get us out of this nightmare?

Also, I've noticed while looking around this forum, that some have had the nissen done more than once.
What was the situation in those cases?

Continuous midsection pain, barely helped by morphine.
He can't lift, pull or push anything that's more than a few pounds.
Able to eat very little before he becomes bloated and basically unable to move from pain.


I wish I could answer this question better, i will try to direct him to this forum....

The pain for him is such that it makes me wonder if they maybe knicked the vagus (sp?) nerve with they were messin around in there?T
