I've had this for years, I hear everyone that has heartburn has acid go up their esophagus as far up as their throat. I've had heartburn for like 9 years but it never once has gone up my esophagus. I basically only have heartburn below my breast bone, around the LES region I suppose
I also have swallowing pain, that affects that exact same region I'm talking about. My swallowing pain is kinda similar to the heartburn pain I get after meals. I've tried spasm meds and they do nothing, PPI's definitely help, but I'm just confused as to why 99.9% of my symptoms are all in a very localized region of my esophagus. Anyone have any possible insight?
Thanks
