Dumping syndrome nissen fundo

Hi,

I had my nissen fundo in march 2015 and have been left with awful dumping syndrome.

I used to take buscapan for it whenever I got a particular bad episode but im currently pregnant (24w) and not allowed to take the meds so my symptoms are 10x worse when I do have an episode.

I start off with really bad stomach cramps,

then I get a really fast heart rate,

I become sweaty and a bit spaced out.

Recently I have started to also become very nauseous and on 2x occasions I have vomited which really upsets me as im concerned my wrap will undo.

I then have really bad diarrhoea which lasts hours and the cramps become so unbearable that I feel like im dying and I have had to take a buscapan as I cant handle the pain.

After the episodes I become absolutely freezing cold, shakey, like my blood sugar just drops and I then have to have a lie down and sleep.

I have looked into everything and just need someone to help me, im becoming so miserable and terrified for my baby .

Any advice would be very gratefully received.

first get a glucose meter get the contour next ez with the strips on amazon its really cheap, I guarantee your dumping syndrome is causing hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) which can be dangerous. Eat complex carbs, no refined sugar, look for dumping syndrome diet

also take magnesium supplements it will ease the stomach tension, it helped for me. also the shaky, cold, is most likely low blood sugar. after you eat lay flat that also helps

Gbaz_90, your also pregnant....dame you better see your obgyn like the other post stated. you may need to be more bed ridden. hind sight is 20/20 but you should have resolved your issues before getting pregnant.

I do have a glucose monitor so thanks I will check my bm the next time I have an episode

I mean, I was discharged from my Gastro consultant about a year ago following thousands of blood tests, a colonscopy and being told nothing G was wrong, it would get better. And like I said, I have been able to control my symptoms prior to pregnancy with meds.
Why put life on hold further by waiting even longer to get pregnant when it. Might never get better?!?!
