................."a strong course of antibiotics".
And did you take probiotics at the opposite time of day that you took antibiotics?
This should be common knowledge among Drs, sometimes they ignore the importance of this, without it your good digestive bacteria is dead, and bad bacteria and gut yeast can flourish. Bad bacteria overgrowth can cause a form of reflux too. NP Drs know this, regular "conventional" Drs are usually unaware.
Many times with digestive bacteria imbalance, the bacteria in the bile duct is also upset allowing bad bacteria to flourish there.
So if you didnt take probiotics then, try some now. Like anything, you get what you pay for- cheap probiotics don't survive the stomach acid.
Thank u astroman, I took vivomix ( expensive probiotics) in October but I was taking antacid at the same time. I live in Greece and I eat greek yogurt on a daily basis ( natural probiotic)
I wish I had known the importance of probiotics before all this happened to me. Now it's too late
My symptoms of reflux gradually manifested within a week after finishing the last dose
My results indicated abnormally high events of weakly acid reflux, so there is no available treatment to alleviate my symptoms
