There's got to be a way. Also seeking the answer.
You mentioned dropping those seemingly obvious trigger foods...and yet, it doesn't seem to solve the problem completely. To that, I say- there has to be a way. I just don't know what it is yet.
It's got me "by the throat" today, only my symptoms aren't heartburn but that really crappy oppressive sore throat feeling/irritated esophagus feeling. Most people would say something like "you should drink some tea."
Me: "Yeah...no."
Them: Why not, tea is good for you.
Me: "It's acidic though."
Them: I am de-friending you on Facebook.
Just kidding, but perhaps you know the feeling.
Two days in a row life circumstances have dictated that I take my PPIs with my second meal of the day, rather than the first. Had to wake up really early and was only able to eat oatmeal for the most part. Big mistake I guess. I usually wake up with eggs.
I've spent a ton of money on food lately too. For the last couple weeks I'd been managing my diet really well- breakfast, shake, dinner, shake. I came up with a good almond milk smoothie shake. Maybe it's all catching up to me. My complete refusal to give up coffee (and loading it with so called healthy fats, aka "bulletproof coffee," I love it, but it may be the straw that breaks the camel's back when I do it EVERY day for 2 weeks straight because it's one of my simple joys in life.) All it took was a slight cold and not being 100% in control of my morning routine/breakfast routine to throw me off yet again...very frustrating.
Here's the good news: The last time this happened I came to the realization that it feels terrible -right now-, but it eventually eased up and my esophagus felt a bit better. I have to remind myself that this will pass.
Keep on keepin' on. Hopefully someone replies with something that legit helps you. My attempt at wit will only take us so far...
