Hi CJ-Kenji,
It could be your body has gotten used to it. I was on Nexium 40mg for 10 years and it gave me stomach pain and heartburn by that point and so I went off. Most people would up their dose or switch brands if it isn't helping any longer. Did anything change with your diet? I used to have flares while on Nexium and then it would go but sometimes it took weeks (4-6 for me) for the flare to calm down. I had to be extra careful with my diet during that time as well. Then, it just stopped working no matter what I tried. Maybe try Nexium 20mg instead to make a change? I would not recommend upping your dose if you can.

Nothing really changed with my diet, but for the last week I switched to a high fiber diet since I have a bad case of indigestion and diarrhea at the moment, I feel like if I take a prilosec my heartburn and nausea will increase.
