I've been on the strict and clean diet for a month, and I dropped 15 pounds. When I went on PPI's it messed up my digestion so I credit 7 lost pounds to just not being able to get food in me as I feel full super quick. The last week I've been off the PPIs and I can squeeze an extra 200 calories in a day fortunately.
You lose a lot of weight as you don't get a lot of high calorie fats in you on her diet. You can try adding coconut or olive oil to things for extra calories (this gave me bad problems. however, but it might work for you)
I add honey to things for extra calories. I can't eat oatmeal right now as it's too sticky for me to swallow. Instead I have a protein shake. My nutritionist suggested I use a weight-gaining protein shake that isn't entirely junk to help with weight loss. As I blend the shake with almond milk, it should be alkaline. Most of those calories are from sugar, but for me it doesn't cause any symptoms.
