From what I've read it takes decades for GERD to lead to cancer. Esophageal Cancer is on the rise, but it is still rare. At your age you have a 0.002% chance of having it. Those are pretty slim odds. GERD and Stress sure make one another worse, and I think everyone's mind races to cancer at first. Mine sure did. Even if you have Barretts (which is frequently mis-diagnosed, and I doubt you could get it after 2 years, it'd take a minimum of a decade at least) your chances of Esphogeal cancer are not incredibly higher and it can Barrett's can be reversed.
I'd keep a food journal if I were you to see what triggers your GERD, as well as not eat 4 hours before bed. The book Dropping Acid has lots of great advice, and there are other diets that worked for many people on this forum.
