I am new to this forum and would appreciate any input. about two years ago I was scoped and told I had a high level of GERD. My Gastro doc told me there was nothing really to be done about it and to just live my lifestyle. Now the acid reflux has gotten more serious and I have been having throat pain and some sinusitis discomfort and just overall not feeling well. I am set to see a new gastroenterologist who I am sure will want to scope me again. As you might guess this is very worrisome and depressing. Your thoughts are welcome. Thank you.

Hi lartthefirst,
I am suffering with GERD too for the past 3-4 months. What I know is eating in smaller portion helps and Anxiety plays part into this sickness hence if possible do not get stress/anxious. I am on famotidine 20 mg x2 so far it manage to control the symptom. I am not fully cured yet.
My biggest issue only excessive burping post meal.
I also tried eating chia seeds everyday, in some or the other it helps a little bit.
Hope you get well soon.
Cheers,
Felix
