Difficulty exhaling

Anyone have difficulty exhaling with gastris? My situation started with an esophagus spasm while drinking diet coke from an ice cube. I got an endoscopy and was diagnosed with chronic gastritis, no h. pylori. I have had breathing problems ever since the spasm with no letup. I am currently taking 150mg ranitidine 3 times a day every 8 hours. Does anybody know what this problem could be?

I had some pain breathing in and out. I had a hiatal hernia and severe gerd. I had surgery a week ago.

Have you asked your doctor about the spasms? Do you experience gas or bloating?

How many days has the breathing problem going on?
Maybe during the spasm, a small amount reflux got spilled/exhaled into your windpipe.
It may take few days to clear out.
20 ml Gaviscon-Advance 20 minutes after 3 main meals of the day can help to prevent any more acid/reflux from reaching and exacerbating the windpipe while its getting healed from the spasm incident.
(at least that is the dose that helps me)
