Bcolt,
I wondered the same thing. Don't worry, should be any day, now. Keep drinking lots of water. The anesthesia and narcotic pain medicines tend to "dry you up". It also doesn't help that your diet is still mostly liquid items. Adding yogurt or some thin oatmeal to your daily routine will also help.

Sorry for bumping an old topic but I'm having the same concern.
I am 5 days post-op and have not yet had a bowel movement.
Passing gas is no problem at all, but nothing else is happening down there yet.
Any suggestions?

It's not unusual considering most of your dietary consumption has been liquid. And even though the above posts are old, they are correct about
the anesthesia and narcotics. You might want to call your surgeon's office and express your concern.

Hi there. I’v just been lurking but I’m finally ready to join in the conversations!
My surgeon put me on Miralax daily until I’m regular. And told me to try stool
Softeners when I get off my pain meds.

I am starting to get regular! Frankly, I’m still not eating enough to produce much 💩. Lol
