Cant get enough food in yet since the 15th of december.
How much do you guys eat a few months after? Before I ask him, what can they do anyways? I still have acid and yellow tongue. If he makes it looser wont that make my acid even worse. Im loosing hope as meds failed I was resistant. I try to get 6 meals (3 of just granola bars) and 3 of 1/2 cup sometimes i force the pain and do a cup

I lost weight rapidly at first then continued to loose weight until I talked to a nutritionist and started tracking my calorie intake. I was under eating by about 500 calories a day on average for my age, height and activity level. Have you done any tracking of your calorie intake? It's difficult during the first year of recovery because your body is still making adjustments. If you don't have difficulty swallowing I'd be reluctant to have the wrap stretched. I had a problem with fungus overgrowth and thought for sure my reflux had come back. I stopped using a steroidal nasal spray for an inner ear problem and took some prescribed medication for the overgrowth problem. Things cleared up a few weeks later.

Now that I'm past the one year mark I don't suspect problems with my wrap when I have a sore throat or cough. It's a huge test of your patience to wait the full year to see some relief but it really can take that long.

Hello, I really struggled with eating and weight gain... still do.. I am going to be 7 months on the 13th of this month I had severe gas/bloat no matter what I ate... I held out 6 months to go have it checked out by my gasto. she said I had erosive gastritis she also dilated me which helped some.. but, the ct scan with the white chalk got stuck on the right side of my colon and I ended up in hospital in severe pain... I say all of this to say that this surgery is tough to recover from.... some seem to do better than others I am still holding out hope that it gets better. I struggle with constipation, gas, and picking up weight.. I did go to a nutritionist and did find I was not getting enough calories it is hard to eat enough when you feel so full and bloated. but I find with my dinner I will blend it and it makes it better. and you are still very early in recovery.. praying you will get better everyday!!! my gastro. told me that if I keep having problems and not picking up weight she wants me to have it taking down.. don't really want that either...there is a lot of good advice on this forum but don't ever hesitate to call gastro. or surgeon if you think something is really not right...

I drop 30 lbs in six months due to not being able to eat like I use to for me it was a good thing I was on the heavy side when I had the surgery 206 now am at 180lbs and now am working out in my tenth month to lost just ten more pounds and that will be it for me. Like Tena said everybody recovery is different for them self. if you read some of the other post you will find it may take up to a year before you feel better again I still have two more months to go so am still a work in progress just take it one day at a time you will see some difference good luck Sean
