hello my nane is claire and i hope iam doing this right. Isuffer from acidreflux and it is taking over mylife.Ihad the nissen surgery and it help for about 4 weeks. and all my sytems are back. and iwas just wondering if someone out there has had the surgery redone our if they could give me some tips how to keep it under control. confused

Hi Claire,

From my understanding, the doctor needs to be very experienced to perform this surgery.

U must have been suffering from acid reflux for many years to warrant this surgery.
How long have you had reflux?
Did meds give you any relief?

Did you see the doctor who performed the surgery when your symptoms came back and what did he say?

My suggestion is to see another doctor who specializes in this sort of surgery for his opinion.

   thanks for reply aeis 2000 went back to doctors he aurgues that it is not acidreflux he said surgrey was sucsessful but why do i have all the same sytoms back and worse He is sending me a acid test i think its called ph test dont no been for so many test. If this test comes positive he said he would do the surgrey over . Iam praying

I don't know if this will help or not but i've had GERD for 5 years now and been taking Nexium for the last 4 months. It helped a lot but the acid was still pretty bad. A friend told me to have my gall bladder looked at so i did. It was only working at 5% so the Drs. decided to remove it. That was 3 weeks ago and I don't know if they are connected but my GERD is a lot bettr now, Just a thought for you to look into. Good luck and take care.
