burping and feeeling like somthing stuck in chest/throat ...clearing throat

There are two types of GERD: regular GERD and LPR.. Your ENT should have told you the difference because the symptoms are totally different. You have all the typical symptoms of LPR (Laryngopharyngeal Reflux Disease). I suggest, for your piece of mind,  that you research it on the internet and you will learn more about it and the difference in it and GERD. You will also find that the post nasal drip, if it goes down the back of your throat, is a very common symptom of LPR and isn't caused by allergies at all.

 The main reason I went in to see him was because my throat was closing off in the night.

I think this is exactly what I have. when i had an endoscopy 5 years ago, the technician told me that it was going all the way up to my throat. now it feels like sticky gllue is always in my throat making it difficult to breathe and swallow. I also have stomach pain and throbbing. I don't take any meds because anxiety disorder has caused me to be allergic to almost everything and i also have side effects to lots of meds. I'm only 33 but am now scared about Barrett's. Today I had a little bit of blood tinged mucous. Now i'm paranoid i have lung cancer or esophageal cancer or something. It was probably just post nasal drip in dry weather????  

Tucci, I think u and I are in the same phase of our anxiety. I have a completely screwed up system now. I think only surgery will help me.
