Diagnosed with Reflux but only have stomach pain that won't quit--what now?

I have stomach pain along with growling noises and have been tested and retested, endoscoped and re-endoscoped, tried all the PPIs (Nexium, Protonix, Aciphex, Prevacid) along with Carafate and Cytotec; and was finally told I was depressed (who wouldn't be?).  I'm wondering about trying Nexium along with Cytotec.  Has anyone had any experience with that combination?  Also, I would like to know more about the aloe vera I've seen discussed in the forum.

Did they rule out gastroparesis? That is a motility problem and it caused me severe stomach pain 24/7 for months on end until I was put on Reglan 10 mg. 30 minutes before meals. Took about two weeks for that to work. Do you happen to have diabetes?

I had two endoscopies done and they were both normal, but because I had diabetes a long time, they figured out it was probably gastroparesis. Also had an upper GI done. I was an in-patient in the hospital two times for this.

I was on Cytotec along with Diclofenac and Nexium, but the Diclofenac caused me too many problems with reflux and GERD pain, so I had to discontinue a med I had been on since 1997 for FMS pain. I don't think there is a problem with Nexium, which I'm on and Cytotec. Cytotec is a med to be used with NSAIDS to coat the stomach to protect it from the NSAID.

My insurance won't cover Nexium after 9/1/06, so I'll probably go on Protonix then.

My answer to you is to ask to try Reglan and see how that does.

Yes, I am a diabetic and I've had my gallbladder removed.  The doctors say that since my gallbladder is gone, the bile is refluxing in my stomach and causing the pain.  I have previously been on Reglan but maybe I need to try it along with Nexium.  If the Cytotec/Nexium combination doesn't work, then I'll consider that.  Nobody has ever said anything about gastroparesis--what is it?  Thank you for your suggestion.

I searched on gastroparesis and I doubt that I have it because I've had a stomach emptying test done and it was normal.  Do you take only one Nexium a day?

Do you know anything about using the Aloe Vera tablets and how long it takes to see any results?
