I don't know if this goes along with LG reflux but I have had gerd for years and last week I found out that I have a dilated esaphogus. The pulmonary doc found it on the chest cat scan, the radiologist didn't even report it. But I read today that it is a symptom of scleroderma.
I may give the DGL licorace a try.
Are you short of breath too with it? The doctors aren't taking my shortness of breath seriously.
debimum, I also had a GI doctor who didn't take my shortness of breath seriously. In fact, he lauged at me and said, "do you want to die?" what a jerk! It is known that some people with a bad case of GERD have trouble breathing at times, does he not know that? Needless to say, he's been "fired" by me (I will go to a new GI doc and he better be nicer!)...
