I think it's better to use it after you get over a real bad GERD episode. It should be used in place of vinegar in salads with a little olive oil.
I do think that once you can eat some good fat, like olive oil, and are over bad GERD - the best salad dressing is a little OLIVE OIL and a few drops of lemon.
Lemon is acidic but in the stomach it becomes ALKALINE, learned that from my research on Alkaline way of eating. Romans used it in ancient times for digestive purposes.
Thanks Danie. Is it safe to assume that taking in Lemon and vinegar helps in digestion but not in lessening acidity? I know that some GERD suferrers have that FULL feeling after eating which leads to heartburn, hence they will benefit from it.
