Greetings all. I am a 39 year old guy, somewhat overweight. I do not drink or smoke. I have had several "acid attacks", ie. waking up choking with acid in my throat and mouth. Usually that happens when I over do it close to bed time, etc. I take Pilosec OTC to control symptoms and have tried to eat better.
about two weeks ago, after a particularly nasty choking episode, my throat started to ache when ever I swallowed, or yawned. It feels like a tightness on the left side of my Adam's apple. Sort of like the feeling one gets when they are watching a sad movie and are trying to hold back tears. It is more prevelant if my head is aimed down at the floor, and I feel it less, or not at all when I am looking slightly upward.
It has not gotten worse, nor does it hurt constantly, just primarily when I swallow foods. Has anyone else had this symptom??? Or ideas?
If so I would greatly appreciate any comments.
Thanks,
PDG
