Whiskeygirl, my best advice to you is to stick with an alkaline diet, use digestive enzymes, drink lots of non-chlorinated water, and get lots of rest. My TCM continually warns me about
over doing it..to rest more and try to spend time doing things that relax you and make you happy. She keeps telling me to watch funny movies and laugh. It makes sense since most illness is caused by stress of one form or another. I try to be in bed by 10 every night, which helps, too.
I think Danie offered some of the best dietary advice here. Using the millet and quinoa to supplement the diet with has really saved me. I've been adding cut up apples or pears to them and sprinkling cinnamon and stevia into it for extra flavor and sweetening. Stevia, btw, is supposed to be very good for the stomach and gut. And I would highly recommend poaching any meat or fish you might eat...eliminating any additional fat that may cause your stomach to act up. For the time being...forget the butter, too. For the first while be really gentle with your stomach. As it heals then you can slowly reintroduce the things you'd like to eat. But go slow. Give your stomach a chance to rest and heal.
Do you have a juicer or a blender? I've been juicing and found it actually soothes my stomach. My brother-in-law makes juice just by blending the fruit with some filtered water. He says he notices it makes his acidic stomach feel better, too. And it's an easy way to get additional nutrition and calories into your body especially if you don't feel like eating. If you don't have a juicer or blender...see if you can borrow one from someone for the time being.
I'm not sure what else I can tell you, but this is a start.
