Has anyone been on medication and and not swallowed enough water and the pill sticks and burns. Last night I took two of my antibiotics and I guess I did not swallow enough water well the stupid pills lodged in my throat and it hurt like hell. It was almost like a case of bad heartburn. This morning I woke up and it still feels like it is burning.

Any suggestions for relief would be appreciated.

Try drinking a little water BEFORE you try to wash the pills down.

I know that antibiotics can cause GERD.  Did the doctor speak to you about that?  I hope that the antibiotics don't make things worse...

Hi friendlygal

Thanks for your last comment. I am pretty sure it was the pills getting stuck because I could feel them lodged in my esophagus. I finished the last of them yesterday thank heavens.
